Objective of Software Education

The purpose of the proposed Certificate Program is to provide opportunities for students with various engineering backgrounds to gain knowledge and experience on design and implementation of real-time embedded systems and software testing modules. This Program will offer to students systematic training in multiple engineering fields, including computer science and engineering, electrical engineering, and other engineering fields to which real-time embedded systems are applied.

Costing Policy

IIST has framed valid costing policy for minimum eligibility, approved by the competent authority, for distribution, implementation, training and support of both CEED & CBSTM. The software/support will be provided at zero costs to all the participants.

Infrastructure to be used

The complete infrastructure that includes hardware, software, LAN / Internet connectivity, etc will be provided by the college. IIST will provide Freescale Microcontroller and Freescale Codewarrior Development Studio software (IDE) on CD-ROM for embedded and tool support for testing.

Training and Support

IIST will provide quality education with experienced resource faculties as per industry standard. The strength of students per batch will be based on the total availability of the controllers. The course contents are designed in such a way to ready work environment without any jobs training is required. Exclusive hands on session with freescale microcontrollers for every individual will be provided. Also dedicated mini project with real time topics will be allotted to all individuals for testing domain.
However, training programs can also be organized in IIST premises for a short duration to provide initial tips for use of the software.

Certification

IIST will conduct the exit exam at the end of the course for both concepts and practical. However the grade of the certification will be made based on the performance obtained in the examination and mini project. IIST has all the rights to reserve the grade based on the performance.

Placement

Interested students can enroll their names in IIST placement database. IIST will provide placement assistance for those students enrolled under CEED or CBSTM program, provided in the final year stream. Also company will absorb the student based on academic and Certificate program performance for Embedded R&D or Software testing.
